Summary

Today I worked on the images for my other two griditems, “Writing” and “About”. For “Writing” I settled on a pencil box with pencils in it and for “About” I went with an ID badge of sorts. Once again this was a relatively tedious process involving hundreds of renders, upscaling, and finally photoshop to get something I like. I like the idea of each graphic having colored elements of the other grid items. For instance, having the base of the pencil box be yellow.

I am going to avoid using graphics throughout the rest of the website because it is a very decision heavy and time intensive process that quite frankly drains me. If I want to finish this website by the end of summer I need to avoid a graphic heavy website.

For the headings and subheadings I am thinking about ditching the subheadings and just having the titles for a cleaner look. I would put the subheadings the respective subpages.

Today I also realized that this design is not repsonsive at all. It completely breaks for mobile and smaller screens. Unfortunately, I do not think I will have the time this summer to make it responsive, so I will simply route users to a simple page, perhaps my link tree if their screen is below a certain size. I’d rather have no product than a shitty one if someone is looking at my website
