Today was frustrating. I spent most of my time trying to figure out how I want the basic layout to look. The most pressing question was: how should I handle navigation between pages? I kept coming back to the idea of a basic navigation bar, with 3 items, 1 for each page. It’s easy and stays constant across all pages.
I just find this approach so boring. I had it on my last website and it was one of my least favorite parts. I checked out the styling for navbars from chakra and they were all dull and unimaginative.
I kept brainstroming ideas trying to incorprate this basic navbar, and hated each more than the last.
I guess a counter argument here is if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but I want to try something different. I don’t want to be just like every other personal website (one page react app, scroll between sections with navbar links to quickly reach each section).
SO BORING
It’s been two hours now and I’m exhausted by the process of trying to make decisions and then shooting them down. I’m going to sleep on it.
